Working with Amy and Jason was an absolute dream! Their love for one another and witnessing their families blending together, was truly such a privilege. Amy full entrusted us to bring her glamorous woodland fairy inspired wedding to life.
The day started with all family and wedding party getting ready together at the their home. With champagne flowing and hair and makeup, the day started with the ladies feeling fabulous with Catie and Lydia.
After that came the first look in the ceremony space. Jason's face is just priceless. The first look is one of my favorite moments, and intimate and calm moment before such an emotional day is just so beautiful. They walked the property and had photos done while enjoying one another's company. The property is incredibly special because this is the home they purchased together and are renovating for their new, blended family. Would you believe it if I told you just six weeks before the wedding, the ceremony was a full on forest? Jason and his mother worked tirelessly on the landscaping to ensure a gorgeous setting for the wedding.
As guests arrived they were greeted by walking over a bridge and entering a stunning arch and doors built by Mager designs and adorned with floral from Lily's. The tone for the ceremony was set with Tony Marchese, electronic violinist playing and passed hors d'Oeuvres and Champagne by Angel Food Catering. Bacon wrapped date anyone? To really make an impact, we wanted Amy and the girls to walk across the bridge, so little did guests know they were parked amongst the guests chilling in a bridesmaids' escalade and listening to music. The ceremony begun and the bride walked down to "Yellow" by Coldplay (instrumental). The family shared a beautiful glass blending ceremony while Amy's sister-in-law sang "Better Together" by Jack Johnson. It was such a beautiful moment to see Amy, Jason and all of their children come together for a moment of representation of the blending of their new family. It finished off with a tender group hug (and some happy tears!).
Guests then moved about the property to enjoy a cocktail party with beautiful hors d'Oeuvres (pear and gorgonzola tarts, and caprese skewers to name a few, hungry yet?) catered by Angel Food. Drinks were flowing at the bar while guests enjoyed more violin music that was upbeat and fun. Children (or daring adults) could enjoy the bounce house and we also had yard games and cocktail tables scattered throughout the property. Lounge furniture from Mager Designs allowed a relaxed space for guests to chat and sip.
Guests then found their seats with a beautiful seating chart designed by Shaytionery Designs and I. We had wax seals made with their initial and date and stuck each card with table number to the mirror. Guests then found their seats under the tent equipped with fairy lights and voile draping finished with chandeliers form Mager Designs, The linen and chairs from LUXE were perfect and Lily's flowers was the icing on the cake. Speaking of icing, guests favors were custom sugar cookies from Enchanted Oven and were placed above Shaytionery Designs gorgeous menus. And yes, the font matched the cookie!
Dinner was incredible with all of the stations from Angel Food from carved tenderloin and mashed potato bar (in martini glasses!) to a seafood station with salmon satay, sushi and shrimp cocktail.
After dinner guests were welcomed to the al fresco dance floor for a night under the stars with amazing entertainment provided by Abay aka Adrenaline from DJ DC productions. He kept the party going past 2 am! With a huge desserts display from Enchanted Oven including a suspended cake, mini wedding cakes, mini pies, macarons, cheesecake shooters and more, everyone's sweet tooth was satiated. The bar had an ice luge which many guests enjoyed. Once guests worked up an appetite from dancing, Biga Lora provided personal pizzas and gelato. There was also a custom made bonfire for guests to enjoy. The night was filled with love and joy for the new couple. It was incredible to help bring their vision to fruition in their new home. Cheers to many years of love!
